So what is this clitoris I keep hearing about…? Surprise, surprise, all women are born with a penis! Well… at least something very similar from a sexual and biological standpoint. The makeup of the clitoris and the penis is very similar – they’re made of the same tissue, both are erectile and hooded (at least for you uncircumcised guys out there), with a high concentration of nerve endings, and extremely sensitive to stimulation. The clit is the only anatomical organ with the sole function of providing sexual pleasure… not a bad job as far as I’m concerned! The only real difference is the average size of the portion of the organ that we can see when we’re poking around in the labial fields. Three fourths of the clit is tucked away… if you were to see it complete, the average clitoris is about four inches long, about the same as a flaccid penis.
When you’re probing around to find that little pink bud, gently pull back the lips (something that normally happens during arousal) and look for the happy button up at the top joining of the labia, usually hiding under a little hood of skin. As you become aroused, the hood pulls back, and blood flows to the clitoris, enlarging it and turning it a deep red – I told you girls could get a woody! The clitoris is one of the primary sources of erotic stimulation, and most women can achieve a clitoral orgasm more easily than a G-spot orgasm. Which brings us to the next question:
How can I make the clit happy? to be continued…
